Hi everybody! I just had to be #8! And I wanted to thank everyone for all the love, words of support, and aloha. I'm recuperating well on Maui. Getting stronger every day. And I'm finally able to surf again. Very stoked! Celebr8 Life! Go for health and fitness all the way!

I am thrilled to see such a great site dedicated to the TRUE HERO and LEGEND of bodyboarding. Jack was a pioneer in the truest sense and has inspired so many of us riders today. It saddens me to see the current mainstream bodyboarding media forgetting the riders who INVENTED the styles and rode waves with more style and commitment than they do today. Thank you for taking me surfing with you to the North Shore the day I got my first published photo in Bodyboarding mag. I remember waiting on the beach when I was a young kid for you to loose your board. I was one of many who would race to the waters edge to be the first to grab your board and give it to you. Here you go Jack! Here is your board, I got it for you. I would say.You would say thank bra! and paddle back out.I was so stoked! I touched your board! I would tell any one who would listen about my awesome day at Sandys because I gave Jack the rippa his board back! I didn't realize at the time that it jammed you up even more by getting my greasy suntan lotion on it and making you walk up the beach instead of letting it wash back down to you with the tide! You were so cool I think you knew what was going on anyway.What will we name him Tutu? We will name him Hauoli. I'm so grateful to have a friend like you.Thank GOD your OK! Keep up the great work!
